Casa de Campo Resort & Villas

What it is.
Not really an all-inclusive in the conventional sense, and worth understanding before booking. Casa de Campo is a 7,000-acre complex outside La Romana — golf (Pete Dye's Teeth of the Dog is the country's best course), a polo field, a marina, a private airport, and a layout that's mostly villa-rental rather than resort-hotel. The AI package is an opt-in layer rather than the default.
The demographic is the load-bearing context. Casa de Campo skews older, wealthier, and golf-oriented than any other DR property — closer to a Sea Island club than to Cap Cana. The score (93.3) is among DR family rankings, but families here look more like multi-generational golf-trip families than the toddlers-and-pool demographic the mass-market brands serve.
What you're paying for: golf access with no real Caribbean peer, a property scale that lets groups book multiple villas and run reunions, and a service standard that runs to the resort-club tier rather than the buffet-AI tier. The trade-off is that this isn't a value play — the AI uplift adds materially to the villa rate. For golf trips and multi-generational reunions, there's nothing else like it in the DR.
