Casa Velas

What it is.
Grand Velas's smaller, adults-only sister on the Pacific side, and one of the better-kept secrets in the segment. Casa Velas runs 80 suites on a golf course rather than the beach (a shuttle handles the beach club run), an adults-only 18+ policy, and the Grand Velas kitchen at lower scale and price — $5,557 a week against $14,000-plus at the bigger Grand Velas properties.
The configuration is the catch. Casa Velas isn't beachfront — the property sits in the Marina Vallarta golf community, with a private beach club shuttle that's well-run but adds friction the headline rate doesn't disclose. Travelers expecting to roll out of the room into the sand will be confused on arrival.
What you're paying for: the Grand Velas service standard and food program at a fraction of the flagship's price, with the trade-off that you're shuttling to swim. For adults-only travelers who prioritize the room, the pool, and the food — and treat the beach as an afternoon trip — this is the smartest value in the entire Grand Velas portfolio. Sun-and-sand purists should book the Riviera Nayarit or Boutique Los Cabos instead.
